Getting Started with KEKPOOL

Quickly set up your mining operation with KEKPOOL by creating an account and connecting your miner in just a few steps.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have the following ready:

  • A Kaspa wallet to receive payouts (e.g., create one via the official Kaspa wallet)
  • Mining hardware: GPU with at least 6GB VRAM or Kaspa ASIC miner
  • Stable internet connection with low latency <50ms to the pool server
  • Operating system: Windows, Linux, or macOS

KEKPOOL supports Kaspa (KAS) mining via the kHeavyHash algorithm. Payouts occur daily with fees as low as 0.9%. Your hashrate contributes to the pool's total, and you earn proportional rewards.

Create Your KEKPOOL Account

Sign up to access the dashboard for real-time monitoring of your hashrate, earnings, and active workers.

Visit Registration Page

Go to https://kekpool.com/register.

Fill in your email, username, and password. Agree to terms.

Verify Email

Check your inbox for the verification email from KEKPOOL.

Click the link to activate your account. This enables payouts and dashboard access.

Log In and Get Wallet Address

Log in at https://kekpool.com/login.

Navigate to the Wallet tab and add your Kaspa payout address (format: kaspa:qrq...).

Download and Install Mining Software

KEKPOOL recommends GPU miners like lolMiner or BzMiner for Kaspa. Download the latest release from their official GitHub repositories.

Download from GitHub.

Extract the archive and make it executable on Linux:

chmod +x lolMiner_v1.XX_linux.tar.gz
tar -xzf lolMiner_v1.XX_linux.tar.gz
cd 1.0/lolMiner

Connect Your Miner to KEKPOOL

Configure your miner to point to the KEKPOOL stratum server. Use your KEKPOOL username as the worker name (e.g., yourusername.rig1).

Replace YOUR_WALLET with your Kaspa address and YOUR_USERNAME with your pool username.

./lolMiner --algo KASPA --pool stratum+tcp://kekpool.com:8443 --user YOUR_USERNAME.YOUR_RIG --pass x

Monitor the console output for Connected to kekpool.com and your hashrate (e.g., 15.2 GH/s). Allow 5-10 minutes for shares to register on the dashboard.

Verify Connection and Monitor

  1. Log in to https://dashboard.kekpool.com.
  2. Check Workers tab: Your rig should show Online status and hashrate.
  3. View Pool stats: Track global hashrate and your share.

If no shares appear, verify firewall settings and stratum URL.
